Privacy Policy

• Account details: email address, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), username and display name.
• Profile details you choose to add: avatar image, country, bio.
• Content you create: challenges, reels and uploaded video, images, comments, polls and challenge descriptions.
• Support messages you send us by email.

• Gameplay data: answers you select, response times, accuracy, points, XP, levels, streaks and spaced-repetition schedules.
• Social activity: likes, bookmarks, follows, shares, comments, invites and referral links.
• Delivery data: which challenges were shown to you (impressions), so we avoid repeating content.
• Reports you file and moderation decisions relating to your account or content.
• Basic technical data: device/browser type, approximate region, timestamps and error diagnostics.

• To provide the core service: your feed, results, stats, leaderboards and notifications.
• To personalise recommendations based on categories you engage with.
• To keep the platform safe: detecting spam, cheating, abuse and policy breaches.
• To measure aggregate product usage and improve features.
• To communicate with you about your account, including account confirmation emails.

Where consent-based legal grounds apply to you, we rely on your consent for optional features and on legitimate interests or contractual necessity for core functionality.

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not run third-party advertising networks inside the app.
• We do not use your gameplay answers to make automated decisions with legal effects.

We use service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: our cloud backend provider (authentication, database and file storage), our hosting/CDN provider, and AI model providers used by the AI Studio features. Content you submit to an AI feature is sent to the relevant model provider to generate the requested output.

Your username, display name, avatar, country (if set), level, points, badges, public challenges, reels, comments and leaderboard position are visible to other users and can be seen by visitors who are not signed in. Your email address is never shown publicly. Accounts flagged as minors have sharing and outbound-link features restricted.

Mind Spark is operated for a Canada and United States launch, and our providers may store or process data in those countries and other regions where they operate. We rely on our providers' contractual safeguards for cross-border transfers.

• Account and profile data: kept while your account is active.
• Content and gameplay history: kept while your account is active, or until you delete the item.
• Moderation and report records: kept for a limited period after resolution so we can handle repeat abuse and appeals.
• Deleted accounts: personal data is removed or anonymised, except records we must keep for legal, security or fraud-prevention reasons.

Depending on where you live (including under Canadian privacy law and US state privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can edit most profile data in the app, and request export or deletion through our Account Deletion & Data Rights page. We do not discriminate against you for exercising a right.

We use access controls, row-level database security, scoped file-storage permissions and encrypted connections. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to respond quickly to reported issues.
